Kaitlyn Antoniadis is a live performance and fine art photographer based out of Long Island, New York.

She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2019 after an internship at the historic Center for Photography at Woodstock. She has juried, curated, and exhibited her work and others’ at The Gallery of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic,Art Bar in Kingston, NY, Sourjourner Truth Library and Bacchus in New Paltz, NY. Her work has been purchased by The Photography Center of the Capital District in Troy, NY.

Day 2: Puxatawney - 120mm using a Yashica . . . . . . . . The first day I got the confidence to make friends. My first friend saw me admiring Phil in his burrow, so he took me on a stroll and told me all about the 40 different statues around town, and how the carving in the first photo used to be a tree he and his friends played on in his childhood (he was in his 50s). When the tree died the town didn’t want to completely remove it so they settled on making it into a homage for Phil. It’s crazy how hard that town goes for that little critter but I admired it :) Second friend in West Virginia completely broke down all the fears I had of eating in public alone and spoiled me at her bar. We spilled our life lore to each other and then parted ways. I know some of her secrets and she knows some of mine but we will likely never cross paths again. And that’s what made the experience all the more special. On the other hand: I also went all the way to the mall they filmed Dawn of the Dead at and of course the museum was closed that day. But just driving from place to place through the most beautiful mountains and hills made up for the parts of the trip that didn’t go as planned.
